This week I received word from PepperJam that they will no longer support the ebay affiliate program because they could not accommodate the new quality click pricing that eBay has launched. If you missed this e-mail from them then you have until Oct. 5th to move your sites/links over to eBay Partner Network. If you already did not have a EPN account before this change I don’t know what to tell you. eBay has become a real bitch on who its letting join its network. My only advice is to build a good looking legit website and apply with that. DO NOT apply with a bans or phpbay site! Make something like a collectible site that talks about model trains or some shit. Its got to look like your not trying to push people to eBay but that your ‘loyal readers’ are going to click on the link to visit eBay.

Once your in though you can ditch all that shit and get to making phpbay autoblogs, bans stores, review sites anything you want. But should you even bother now that eBay has launched quality click pricing. Well for some they have seen payout increases and others have seen some big drops. Not to mention that no one know how they are figuring out this pricing structure works. eBay is pretty much going to make up any number they want and pay you that. I still have not seen how this is going to affect my eBay sites but I will continue to make sites for EPN.

Why? Because eBay is easy. Most of the sites I have I made over a year ago. I did a little seo made them look pretty and forgot that shit. They sat around on the net and found their own traffic. Giving me a bit of extra income that is totally hands off. Spend a few hours make a few sites and see how it goes. After this month I will see how my sites do with EPN since I have had to spend the time today moving them all from PepperJam to EPN. Here is hoping for some more extra cash.

Ok I have seen so many posts on this shit last year when I was first starting with affiliate marketing as my hobby. Mostly because I was an idiot on digital point and that’s all tards there talked about. ZOMG you make $100 a month on eBay you’re my mentor! This is not the dummies version, for that go to digital point.

But getting past all that shit I tried it much like I was trying everything possible to make some cash online. I knew several niches from my personal hobbies so I had somewhere to start. I took a chance and bought Build A Niche Store ($99 at the time). Of course then I was a working stiff making 34k/yr as an online marketing assistant.

So enough story now how to make money using eBay and BANS (build a niche store). Bans makes instant sites using eBay feeds based on keywords. Easy shit, a site takes like 5-10mins to make and you have an ugly little basic store. Of course if you know your shit you can theme it out and make it look better but I never had much luck with that. My stores all still look like shit..

When you go to make your store you really need to think out side the box. My tip here is to take your ass to an antique store walk around and take notes on expensive shit. Do not just go to ebay pluse and make a store like everyone else. ZOMG nintendo wii is selling I am going to make a store on it and be rich. No. You will never get anywhere with it and its going to be a waste of time. Don’t be an DP idiot.

Lets instead take something from our store trip… say something really really niche.. like. Presidential Campaign Buttons. Holy shit that is random who the fuck would think of that. Well stupid ass affiliate marketers sure wont, but people to collect them will! Remember eBay was founded on the idea of selling collectibles. No one wants a fucking tv off eBay they want rare shit so they don’t have to visit hundreds of antique stores.

So now we have our niche and a little store how do we get traffic. Well your only option here is seo. Yes you can try ppc but to give you an idea my 3 month epc with ebay is 0.09 a click. This month it was 0.07, this week it was 0.04. If you don’t know that means for every click I send to ebay I am getting about 0.07 cents. This is really fucking low but who cares your traffic is free. This also shows you why going with ppc is not such a great option unless you can magically get 0.03 cents clicks and are happy with 0.01 a visit profit. Sure your epc may be higher than mine but your margins are going to be really slim and not worth your time. And even worse is that all this traffic has no main conversion so you are guaranteed nothing. Explained below.

eBay traffic is basically cookie stuffing people who like to buy shit there. You want as many people as possible to click on that page to be sent to ebay. You money is in the new members that sign up to ebay and in the 50% of eBay’s take. With pepperjam I still get $25 per new member but ebay partner network now gives $1-$40 depending on some magical factor they come up with. So ill keep my $25 and be happy. To put this in perspective for you this December I sent 30,148 clicks to eBay. From these clicks I managed to get 49 new sign ups and 498 people bought some shit after my link within 7 days or signed up as a new member within 30 days. I said above that there is no guarantee because of all the clicks I sent none of them could have bought anything and I would have gotten squat. Also why ppc is retarded when dealing with eBay.

Now you need to find out how to get traffic to your site. This is your problem not mine. I highly recommend seo! Make your store, and a few 4-5 content static pages on the subject and SLOWLY build links and avoid the sandbox at all costs. When I first started I made about 30 of these stores did a little link building and moved on to ppc with the big boys. Out of these stores 1 makes 99% of my eBay money and the others idle and randomly bring in reg-fee or more so they stay to.

When I started I made some cash.. enough for the domains and the script. But time is really what is key here. A long ass time!! You build these guys put them out there and forget about them. Move on do other shit because they probably wont rank well at first. A year from now the ugly ducks will turn into golden gooses (if you have any) and your get your free money.

Now go make money and use my links so I get paid to!
