I just got an e-mail I was not expecting… it looks as though WFReview has been sold once again to a new owner. Last time it was sold the new owner wasn’t able to keep up with it and it fell back on to nick the orignal owner. Here is the e-mail.

Some of you on twitter (http://twitter.com/wfreview) might have already

heard the news, but Nick is passing the torch. He is still going to be

around and a part of our community but I will be in charge.

Nick and I are very excited about this change, especially because I have 8

years professional experience with programming in PHP and 6 more with Ruby

on Rails. I have written a book about programming for O’Reilly

(http://bit.ly/5FGkTh). I LOVE to program, and I am very good at it.

I am excited to start diving into the code for WFReview. It is a very good,

quality product and it should not be very difficult for me to add

enhancements quickly. I have been reading all the forum posts and getting a

sense of what you guys need and want, as well as checking out my

competition. In fact, I have so many enhancements lined up for the next

release that it is not even going to be WFReview!

The upcoming release is called WF Review Ultra! Here are some of the

upcoming features.

Game changing features

* central UPC dataset – append data from separate sources about the same

product to the same post

* expire post on a specific date – use custom CSV meta to set the date and

have the post moved from published to deleted

* content spinning

* adlib support

* much easier installation

* bulk redirecting affiliate links through cleaner internal links

* custom data to posts

* THEMES!

Better CSV Imports

* Import .gz files straight from CJ

* Much smarter CSV import, no longer worry about many of the format

issues

* warn before saving a template with the same name as an existing

template

* one-off post ratings

Better Developer Support

* disable loading the css and google api call on pages where the script

isn’t active

* ability to use “last rated”, “highest rated”, etc. as a function instead

With so many changes, this plugin is going to revolutionize your review

sites and it will work so much better and faster that we think of it as a

new plugin entirely.

By February 7th, release WFReview Ultra

By March 7th, release the first 3 WFReview Ultra themes

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this transition

period. I look forward to helping you all achieve great success with your

projects.

As one of the biggest if not the biggest advocate for WFReview I am happy to see the new owner is capable of taking this script to a new level I am also worried that it will not happen and that this will just be a repeat of what happened last time. When I get the new script I will be sure to post a review.

Incase anyone had missed it, bb_wolfe has offered to give out free and/or discounted copies of WFReview for charitable donations. As far as I know everyone who donates will not get a free version of WFReview but who knows its pretty much up to him and how generous he is feeling at the time. Other people who donate will be allowed to buy WFReview for only $75.00 a major discout from its full retail asking price of $139.00. Read the full details here…

The conditions are

Has to be a legit charity, the Dennis Yu Legal Defense Fund does not count.

Has to be over $25 in value. (Hey, it’s a fucking charity, splurge a little)

The charity has to provide some sort of receipt that you contributed.

Take out any personal info or financial info from the receipt.

The donation dose not have to be in their name.

After your donation has been made you just need to forward the receipt (minus personal info) to ILoveJonFisher [@] reviewpluginforwordpress.com. Then you get to wait and see what the WFReview santa delivers to your mail box! I commend and respect him for doing this its not many that are willing to give up their work for the sake of others.

Also if anyone is interested in giving but dose not have a favorite charity I highly recommend Heifer International they have many worthwhile projects all across the globe and also allow the gift of animals. Every year I get their catalog in the mail and show my support by donating a few animals for myself and as gifts to family and friends. The best part is that the families that receive the gift of these animals agree to also give away some of the offspring to continue the gift. If one family received two flocks of chickens their offspring could help support entire villages or towns. Its defiantly a cause that is worth giving to.

If you haven’t heard yet, bb_wolfe and his crew from wicked fire have finally released their review plugin for wordpress. I don’t own many scripts because I like to do things myself but I saw so much potential in this script that I just had to buy it and here is why.

With this review script you can make sites in like 15mins. Seriously. With some basic knowledge of scrapers and wordpress you can build a site with hundreds if not thousands of pages. It also has an option to generate reviews for these posts so your site isn’t totally empty when people get to it.

I only just got the script working this weekend so my empire is a bit lacking at the moment. It seems they didn’t have a version that worked with Macs but they fixed it for me and came out with an update. Using a scraper that I got from a great guy on wicked fire I was able to scrape my local yellow pages and export an entire category as a csv file.

I uploaded the file to the plugin and set up my template and categories from the csv. Hit go and my new site instantly had over 150 pages. I then generated 1-3 reviews for each post and my site was done. I took a few hours digging though wordpress templates to find one that could suit my site and niche I added adsense to the page and started a bit of SEO.

I had to go with adsense on my first site because the niche doesn’t really go to well with affiliate ads but many other niches would just fine! Ive got big plans for this script and you should to! I didn’t want to recommend it to people until I used it my self and I saw the bugs were worked out so I had to wait until now to post about it. But man I am amazed! If you can’t make money with this thing you need to seriously quit the internet.

Now I had planed on give out my page so you guys could see how badass this thing is, but it doesn’t have enough SEO power behind it yet to keep you guys out of my shit. So I wont be posting it now but maybe in a follow up post later when I am killing the niche. So I will just hint at the stuff you can do.

Time to think of niches again bitches, I hope you remember your lessons from my eBay post. With this review script you are either going to shoot for products or services. Laptops, Dentists, Hardware stores just about anything you can think of is fair game for this script. Spend some time thinking up shit and plugging it into wordtracker to see what you have to work with. I recommend trying to find services that are local to your town since most small businesses don’t really know anything about SEO so you will have better luck beating them than you would an online camera store.

So once you get your site up you have a ton of options to monetize it. You can go adsense, private ads, paid links, phpbay, or affiliate products and banners. Now go out and buy the thing and start making money!

Visit the site for the WFReview WordPress Plugin or if you are the last person on earth without phpbay you better go visit them to!

Special 25% Off Coupon: After talking to the guy at WFReview they are allowing me to use a special WFReview Coupon which will give my readers 25% off the price of this script. You can read that post here and make sure to use my link.

Update Fed 4th: I now have 6 websites built out using this tool and with each site I am getting faster and faster at making them. All 6 now have their SEO blast outsourced and are awating their flood of links. I expect the script to pay for its self in a week time.
